From Talent Arena, together with Barça Innovation Hub and Metrica Sports, we are thrilled to announce the Football GPT Bootcamp — a pioneering challenge that brings together generative artificial intelligence and real sports data to transform football analytics and tactics.
The Football GPT Bootcamp calls on professionals in data analysis, data science, development, prompt engineering, and tech enthusiasts to create solutions using language models (LLMs) applied to real performance, tracking, and event data from FC Barcelona matches.
Participants will work with authentic high-value sports datasets, provided by FC Barcelona and Metrica Sports, including:
- Automatic event data encoded in XML (Smart Tagging), generated by Metrica Sports.
- Broadcast video recordings of official matches.
- Automatic tracking data (ATD) provided by Metrica Sports.
Selected teams will work on a dataset of 20 professional matches, under realistic analytical conditions and with specialized technical mentoring.
The goal: to create insights that enhance tactical understanding and analytical processes in professional football to empower decision-making, paving the way for a new generation of sports intelligence.

To take part in the Football GPT Bootcamp, first register on Talent Arena and select “Football GPT Bootcamp” as one of your areas of interest.
Once registered, you’ll receive all the detailed information about the application process and the official rules, which will be published in January 2026.
